Ossidex DICOM compatibility: results and limits

This matrix summarizes seven archived development reports containing 270 image-presentation checks. Each recorded check has a nonempty image and no recorded error. The counts apply to the listed samples, not every scanner from each manufacturer. Published September 30, 2026.

What was checked

The test imported each archive, catalogued its series and exercised frame decoding. It requested the first, middle and last frame of each series through the app presentation path and recorded image dimensions and errors. Decode checks and presentation checks are different counts and must not be added together. These reports do not include the final outcome of the complete test run.

How to read the limits

  • These are archived reports, not a fresh test run on September 30.
  • Original reports do not record the app build, device, exact test date or upstream revision. Those fields remain empty in the downloads.
  • A nonempty rendered image does not establish pixel fidelity, measurement accuracy or clinical validation.
  • Source links identify the upstream collections. Without the original revision, their current files may differ from the historical input.
  • These datasets are separate from our dental export guides. A Romexis or Sidexis guide is not a test report for that scanner.

Data and reproduction

Download CSV · Download JSON with method and limits

Downloads contain only aggregates, sources and report hashes, without images, patient identifiers or local paths. To run your own evaluation, choose a public sample from its source and record its revision, your device and Ossidex version; import the DICOM and compare slices with a known reference. Record opening, pixel appearance, geometry and tools separately.

If your file does not open

Check that you received the complete study, not only DICOMDIR, a PDF or the disc’s .exe program. Keep the whole folder or ZIP. See opening problems and fixes and vendor export guides.
